iTAP™ method
iTAP software provides a predictive text entry
method that lets you enter a word using one
key press per letter. This can be faster than Tap
method, because your phone combines the
key presses into common words.
For example, if you press 7 7 6 4,
your phone displays letter combinations that
match your key presses:

In a text entry screen, you can press * to
switch entry methods. An indicator tells you
which method is active (see page 48). If iTAP
method is not available as the Primary or
Secondary entry method, see page 46.
1 Press a keypad key one or more times to
show possible letter combinations at the
bottom of the screen.
2 Scroll left or right to highlight the
combination you want.
3 Press Select to lock a highlighted
combination. (You can press keypad keys
to add more letters to the end of the
combination.)
