The display shows the calculation value or result. A character may take up an area
on the display composed of 5 horizontal and 7 vertical dots. A maxi mum of 12 posi-
tions are available for display of numbers or characters. (Zero is displayed as 0.) How-
ever, if a formula or statement exceeds 12 positions, the numbers or characters wi

move to the left - a maximum of 62 characters can be input.
The blinking cursor is displayed until 55 characters have been input. From the 56th
character on, a blinking"
I"
will be displayed instead.
A 4-position numerical display on the upper portion of the display indicates the number
of steps remaining.
In addition a "-" (dash) will be displayed to the right of the 4-position numerical
display during operation.
Also, in the Shift

n mode, abbreviations for angular units such as "DEG", "RAD"
and "GRA" will be displayed. Similarly, "RUN" (RUN mode), "WRT" (WRT mode),
uTR" (TR mode), "PRT" (PRT mode), and "STOP" will be displayed to indicate the
current mode of operation.
