12. Do not heat an empty cooking pot or pan as this could cause the cookware to become
distorted or the heating coil to become damaged.
13. Do not overheat a cooking pot or pan. Do not overfill your cooking pot or pan.
14. Do not leave the appliance unattended during use. Always unplug the unit when not in
use or before cleaning.
15. Ensure that the switch is in the "Off" or "O" position after each use.
16. Do not place metallic objects such as knives, forks, spoons, lids, cans and aluminium
foils on top of the cooking plate.
17. Do not place anything between the pot or the pan and the appliance.
18. The maximum weight that can be put on the appliance is 5kg.
19. The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or
separate remote-control system.
20. DANGER OF SCALDING. Extreme caution must be used. Do not move the
appliance while it is in operation. It is recommended that you do not move the
appliance when it is in use with a cooking pot or pan, when switched on or before it
has cooled down.
21. Beware of hot steam which escapes out of the cookware during the cooking process
or when you remove the lid.
22. Avoid contact with the cooking area directly after cooking as it retains heat from the
cookware.
23. DO NOT place the product near flammable materials.
24. Food should not be kept warm for more than 4-6 hours in order to maintain the
continued freshness of the food.
25. Never use this appliance for heating food in a can as it may cause the can to explode
from built up pressure.
26. Let the appliance cool down completely before you clean it or put it away.
27. Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped or damaged in any way. In case of
damage, take the unit in for examination and/or repair by an authorised service agent.
28. Do not use harsh abrasives, caustic cleaners or oven cleaners when cleaning this
appliance.
29. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not immerse or expose the appliance, plug or
the power cord to water or any other liquid. Do not touch the power cord or plug with
wet hands.
30. Never immerse the unit in water or any other liquid for cleaning purposes. Do not
place the unit into a dishwashing machine.
31. Do not use the appliance in a bathroom or near a source of water.
32. The appliance cannot be partially or fully immersed in water for cleaning.
