    FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION FOREWORD Model 309 Porter-Cable Laminate Trimmer can make both flush and shallow bevel cuts, using self-piloting bits. ASSEMBLY NOTE: This tool is shipped completely assembled. No assembly time or tools are required. TO INSTALL BIT DISCONNECT TOOL FROM POWER SOURCE.

    TO REMOVE BIT Follow steps one through five under TO INSTALL BIT. Place one wrench on flats of shaft directly above collet nut. Let far end of wrench rest on bench to your left. Place other wrench on collet nut and turn counterclockwise and loosen only enough to allow removal of bit.
  • Page 11 CARE OF CARBIDE BITS Please read these suggestions carefully. They will help you obtain maximum benefits from the use of carbide bits. Never drop a carbide tool. Never let it strike against anything. A sharp blow may cause the carbide to crack or shatter. Exercise caution when using machinery and other tools such as wrenches, near carbide tools, where the carbide might be hit and damaged.
