REPAIR GUIDE

1. Precautions on Disassembly and Reassembly

The numbers in parentheses ( ) below denote item numbers in the Model CH 10DL part price list.
The numbers in brackets [ ] below denote item numbers in the Model CG 10DL part price list.
Before making repairs, be sure to remove the storage battery (Model BCL 1015) from the main body.
Note that performing the following procedures with the storage battery mounted in place runs the risk of
sudden motor operation, thereby posing a safety hazard.
Disassembly Procedure
1. Removing the Blade Set
Before removing the Blade Set (CH) (38), Blade Set (CG) (48)[24] be sure to set the Blade Case (37),
Blade Cover (170) (46)[34] in position.
Remove the four Machine Screws M4x12 (8)[8] from the main body. The Blade Set (CH) (38), Blade Set
(CG) (48)[24] can then be removed together with the Bottom Cover (30)[35], with the Crank Case (27)[28],
Dust Felt (28)[29] attached.
2. Removing the Protector
Remove the two Machine Screws M4x12 (8)[8] that secure the Protector (6)[6]. The Protector (6)[6] can
then be removed from the main body.
3. Disassembling the Blade Assembly (CH)
(1) Remove the three U-nuts M4 (33).
(2) From top to bottom, sequentially remove the holder plate, blade (A), blade (B), and Distance Piece (34).
4. Removing Housing (B)
Remove the six Tapping Screws (w/Flange) D4x24 (black) (9)[9], and then remove housing (B), which is a
part of the Housing (1)[1]. When removing housing (B), hold down the controller portion of the Housing
(1)[1] in which the battery is to be placed. This facilitates the removal of housing (B) with the built-in parts
retained within housing (A).
Next, grasp the Motor DC 10.8 V (17)[17] and lift it out from housing (A). The entire power supply section
the Motor DC 10.8 V (17)[17], Switch (13)[13], and Controller (C) (16)[16]) can then be removed with ease.
5. Removing the Nuts
Nut Holders (5)[5]
Nut M4 (4)[4]
The Nut Holders (5)[5] are used to set and prevent the
Nut M4 (4)[4] from coming off the Housing (1)[1]. Use a
standard screwdriver or similar tool to pull off the Nut
Holders (5)[5] in order to remove the Housing (1)[1].

6. Disassembling the Power Supply Section
When removing the white and red internal wires from the Motor DC 10.8 V (17)[17], use a soldering gun to
remove the solder and then perform disassembly.
Internal Wires (14)[14] are used to solder the Switch (13)[13] and Controller (C) (16)[16] to their terminals,
respectively.
When removing the white and black internal wires from the Switch (13)[13], use a soldering gun to remove
the solder and then perform disassembly.
NOTE: Do not disassemble the Switch (13)[13] and Controller (C) (16)[16].
