The National Electric Code (NEC) requires the frame and external electrically conductive parts of the generator be properly connected to an approved earth ground. Proper grounding of the generator will prevent electrical shock in the event of a ground fault condition in the generator or in connected electrical devices.

(Generac) warrants its iX Series generators will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the items and period set forth below. Generac will, at its option, repair or replace any part which, upon examination, inspection and testing by Generac or a Generac Authorized Warranty Service Dealer, is found to be defective.
