Insert the PenFill cartridge:
Hold the cartridge holder

is up.
Drop the PenFill cartridge

into the cartridge holder,
plastic cap first.
A threaded plastic cap surrounds the end of the PenFill
cartridge, like the cap on a bottle. In the center is the front
rubber stopper.
The rear rubber stopper is at the other end of the PenFill
cartridge.
