Expanding the range of exposure compensation
If you upgrade the camera, you can adjust the exposure between –5.0 EV and +5.0 EV.
For details on exposure compensation, refer to "Compensating the exposure" in the
"Instruction Manual."
The indication on the displays when you are adjusting the
exposure
While you are setting the exposure to over +3.0 EV or under –3.0 EV, the indication on
the display panel, viewfinder, or LCD monitor is as follows:

While the compensation value is
being adjusted between –3.3 EV
and –5.0 EV
The compensation value is
indicated as [Lo].
The compensation value is
indicated as [Lo], and the b arrow
is indicated on the EV scale.

being adjusted between +3.3 EV
and +5.0 EV
The compensation value is
indicated as [Hi].
The compensation value is
indicated as [Hi], and the B arrow
is indicated on the EV scale.
