TO ACCESS CONTROL PANEL-
Control panel can be accessed at upper-right corner of insert by pushing and lifting up the small door.
OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS WITHOUT REMOTE
HEAT ON (18/23EF020GAA )
Press this switch can turn ON and OFF heater output. And this switch must be in ON position for
switch functions to work.
HEAT HI (18/23EF020GAA ) -
HEAT HI
The switch can turn on high heat and double output.
FLAME (18/23EF020GAA )-
The flame control switch can turn ON and OFF the flame brightness.

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS WITH REMOTE
POWER (23/28/33EF020GRA)
POWER
The switch supplies power to all of the functions of the fireplace. This switch must be in the on position
for any of the functions including the remote to work.
TEMPERATURE (23/28/33EF020GRA)
The Temperature control knob is used to set up the room temperature. The further the knob is rotated clockwise,
the higher the set point temperature will be. Turning the knob counter clock-wise will lower the set temperature.
Use this function to help regulate the ambient temperature.
HEATER (23/28/33EF020GRA)
Your fireplace consists of a fan forced wire element type heater. The

FLAME (23/28/33EF020GRA)-
Each time the flame button is pressed, the intensityof the flame decreases. There are six brightness levels you can
cycle through including the OFF setting.
DOWN LIGHT (28/33EF020GRA ONLY)

The switch turns on thedown light that illuminate inside of the firebox.
