General Conversion

Instructions for 3 x 4 in. (75 x 00 mm)
WARNING: For Safety only use 3 x 4 in. (75 x 100 mm) Pads on the OS's for which they were intended. Use
only the parts that maintain the original OPM of the tool.
NOTE: Pads are not included with kits. They must be ordered separately.
CAUTION: When working on or converting any machine first do the following:
. For safe conversion, shut off the air supply and disconnect it from the tool.
2. Remove the Pad and/or existing vacuum parts from the Sander Housing.
Note: Keep the original parts not used for the conversion in a safe place so the machine can be converted back later.
3. Move on to the corresponding section of the conversion kit that applies
Converting 3 x 4 in. (75 x 00 mm) NV Machines to CV Shrouded Machines
General Assembly Instructions to convert to 3 x 4 in. (75 x 100 mm) CV Shrouded Machines:
. Remove Vacuum Cover Plate from Sander Housing.
2. Place Shroud Seal around exhaust hole and then around Housing.
3. Snap the Exhaust Adapter into the exhaust hole.
4. Slide the inlet end of the CV Swivel Exhaust Assembly into the Exhaust Adapter. Make sure the key on the CV
Swivel Exhaust Assembly bracket is aligned and engaged with the keyway on the Sander Housing.
5. Secure the CV Swivel Exhaust Assembly to the Sander Housing using M5 Flanged Nut, M5 Flat Washer and the
M5 Screw Torque to 30-35 in/lbs (3.4-3.9 Nm) Do not over torque the screw).
6. Screw the vacuum style Pad onto the Machine (pads not included in kits).
7. Grasp the Female Swivel Fitting on the CV Swivel Exhaust Assembly and turn the fitting to thread the male end of
a standard 1 in. (28 mm) flexible vacuum hose into the swivel until the hose is tight.
