MGCP configuration To configure the 5100/6100 VDR to support MGCP, you need to set each voice port, set the ports to point to a softswitch (or group of softswitches), set the coding type for each TCID, and set the coding profile usage for each coding profile.
  • Page 10 Note. Vpacket recommends that you assign them sequentially (see Example). When this command is executed, the endpoint attempts to register with the softswitch. The naming convention (a001...a024) is an example; it is not a VDR standard. The name of the endpoint_id must match that configured in the Call Agent's database.
