The oil filter module contains the oil filter
and oil cooler. It is also used to hold the
alternator.

As was previously the case, the oil cooler is
designed as a coolant-to-oil heat exchanger.
The "housing-less" oil cooler is bolted to the
oil filter module using an O-ring seal to form a
single unit.
