At the front axle transmission end, the propeller shaft
is bolted to the drive pinion of the front axle transmis-
sion via a flange connection.

Universal joints which operate at an angle always
produce asymmetrical rotational movement. If the
angles between the axes of the propeller shaft
tube and the linkage arms are the same size and in
the same plane, this compensates for the non-
uniformity of the two universal joints. The output
speed of the propeller shaft to the front axle trans-
mission is thus uniform.
