Torque distribution

1 Automatic transmission output shaft
2 Transfer case drive shaft (ring gear)
3 Dual planetary gear set (planetary gear differential)
The dual planetary gear set operates as a planetary
gear differential between the front axle and rear axle
to distribute the engine torque.
The gear ratio is set up to transfer 55% of the engine
torque to the rear axle and 45% to the front axle.
