8. When storing, turn to the [OFF] position. Make sure the unit is completely empty of water and in a frost-free environment only. Remove the batteries. 9. Use 2”AA” alkaline batteries only. Do not use rechargeable batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.

II. PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS *Both sides of the timer are programmable or manually operated. To program your Nelson 56611 timer, rotate the dial clockwise to the appropriate selection: SET TIME; PROGRAM; SET; REVIEW; SELECT; RUN; ERASE; OFF A. Turn dial to [SET TIME] 1. 4. To set the current day: Use the [+] and [-] buttons to scroll to the current day of the week. When the correct day is lit, press [ENTER] to select. B. Turn dial to [SET] NOTE: For [PROGRAM SET] functions, use the [+] and [-] buttons to advance/go back through the selection options. When you have reached the desired settings, press [ENTER] to select. NOTE: The Mist function is a program setting itself and can not be assigned to other programs.
