Internal backup units

The server does not support internal tape drive options.

The server supports the optical drive options listed in the following table.

The x3550 M3 server requires the Optical Drive Kit (ODD Kit), 59Y3952, to be installed to support the
optical drive. If the ODD Kit is used, then the maximum number of HDD bays is limited to four.
The IBM UltraSlim Enhanced SATA DVD-ROM (part number 46M0901) supports the following media and
speeds for reading:
