Changing the Voice Settings Using the
Information and Entertainment Display

Press the MENU button.

USING SYNC® WITH YOUR
PHONE
Hands-free calling is one of the main
features of SYNC. While the system
supports a variety of features, many are
dependent on your mobile phone's
functionality. At a minimum, most mobile
phones with Bluetooth wireless technology
support the following functions:
Answering an incoming call.
Ending a call.
Using privacy mode.
Dialling a number.
Redialling.
Call waiting notification.
Caller ID.
SYNC
Makes a best guess from the media
candidate list. You may still occasionally
be asked questions.
Clarifies your voice command for media
candidates.

candidate list. You may still occasionally
be asked questions.

Other features such as text messaging
using Bluetooth and automatic phonebook
download are mobile phone-dependent
features. To check your mobile phone's
compatibility, refer to your mobile phone's
user manual or visit the regional Ford
website.
Pairing a Mobile Phone For the
First Time
Note: You must switch the ignition and
radio on.
Note: To scroll through the menus, press
the up and down arrows on your audio
system.
Wirelessly pairing your mobile phone with
SYNC allows you to make and receive
hands-free calls.

Press the PHONE button. When the
display indicates No phones paired,
press the Add button.
2. When Please begin pairing by
appears in the display, search for SYNC
on your device to start the pairing
process. Make sure the Bluetooth
feature on your mobile phone is
switched on before starting the search.
Refer to your mobile phone's user guide
if necessary.
