• Module Connection Cable
- Stored on the back of the module
- Note the plug release mechanism: pull the cover back to insert or remove the cable from the machine
• Attaching Module to Machine
- Must be on a flat surface
• Remove Accessory Box
- Place the module on the machine behind the free arm
- Slide the module on from the left until the lugs engage in the base plate
• Removing Module
- Release the plug cover by sliding it towards the cord
- Remove the cable plug from the machine
- Slide the module to the left to remove it from the machine

• Presser Foot
- Embroidery Foot #15 comes with the module
- Attach the foot to the machine
• Needles - Owner's manual pg.____
- Use the proper needle for the thread and fabric being used
- Insert a new needle at the beginning of each project
- Needle should be in the highest position when attaching the hoop
• Straight Stitch Plate (optional accessory)
- The stitch insertion points are limited, giving better thread control which results in better stitch quality
• Bobbin
- Use a high quality lightweight bobbin thread
- 180 only: Use the new "pigtail" (gold latch) bobbin case and thread the bobbin thread through
the wire loop. This bobbin case has been specially designed for embroidery.
- 170 only: Thread the finger of the bobbin case to tighten tension slightly
