If the Thermal Unit fails, perform the following, one at a time. Do not replace a non-defective FRU:
Start
Fan power wire well
No Check Connect
connected?
Replace thermal
Fan OK? No
module
Heatsink well
No Seat it well
seated?
BIOS OK? No Re-flash BIOS
Replace M/B
