5. Creating a Spreadsheet

A spreadsheet is a computer application that simulates a paper
worksheet often used in accounting. It consists of rows and
columns creating a grid of cells. Each cell contains alphanumeric
text or numeric values and can quickly calculate, sort and
organize inputted data.
The CALC spreadsheet program can be opened by using your
mouse to first click the word "Accessories" on the top left menu,
followed by clicking "Office" and "OpenOffice.org Spreadsheet'.
The basic spreadsheet consists of individual pieces of data stored
in cells. Each cell has a unique address that is identified by the
column letter and the row number of its location (the column
letter is always listed first followed by the row number).
