Case Assembly
For this section, you'll need a #2 phillips head screwdriver, a good pair of tweezers,
diagonal cutters, wire strippers and electrical tape. Read through ALL the instructions
prior to beginning assembly!
1. Insert the right angle RJ45 plug cable
through the large hole on the right side of
the module case. Insertion will be from the
exterior of the case towards the interior.
The correct length is 3‐1/8" from the
outside of the case to the end of the jack.
NOTE: If the fit is too tight, use drill bits
and progressively widen the hole by hand
checking fit each time.
2. Trim the outer sheathing on the RJ45 plug
cable to where it s about 3/8" outside the
RJ45 punch‐down jack housing when in
place. This will expose the inner 8 wires.
Trim the translucent pair separator (X
shaped plastic in the center) back to where
the outer sheathing was stripped. Be
careful not to clip any of the 8 wires.
3. Insert each wire into the punch‐down jack
according to the B series color codes.
When inserting the wires, visually estimate
the correct length of wire for when the jack
will be in place. A little extra length is
better than too short. Use the punch‐down
cap to fully seat the wires into the jack.
NOTE: DO NOT trim the excess wire until
proper length of 3 1/8" (Re. Step 1) is
confirmed with the jack in place!
