Adjust the damping characteristic

to suit the spring preload.
To increase spring preload,

turn handwheel 2 clockwise
using toolkit.
To decrease spring preload,
turn handwheel 2 counter-
clockwise using toolkit.
Basic setting of spring

Turn adjusting screw coun-
terclockwise as far as pos-
sible (Full tank of gas, with
rider 187 lbs (85 kg))
Insert toolkit 1.

Damping

Damping

The damping must be adjusted
to the road conditions and the
spring preload.
A rough road surface requires
softer damping than a smooth
road surface.
An increase in spring preload
requires firmer damping, a re-
duction in spring preload re-
quires softer damping.
Adjusting damping on rear
wheel
Adjust damping via adjusting
screw 1.
To increase damping, turn ad-
justing screw 1 clockwise.
