operation of airbag system can be
influenced if the system is repaired in
an abnormal way or the damaged
parts of the car are not repaired.
● The recovery and destruction of
airbag should be completed by
qualified companies in order to avoid
damage to the environment and
operator injury.
● The manufacturer will not be liable
to any direct and indirect losses
caused by the damages produced by
operations that fail to observe the
above instructions.
● Special Notes: Fasten the safety
belt in a right way at any time,
otherwise the airbag may seriously
injure the passengers instead of
effectively protecting them,
passengers shall take responsibilities
of such injuries on their own.
Repair and Maintenance of Airbag
The front and side airbags (optional)
and automatic tensioner of seat belt
are needn't to be repaired actually,

and no part is available for you to
conduct reliable check and repair.
Check and repair your car under the
following conditions:
1. The airbag is ever expanded. The
ever expanded airbag, its controller,
automatic tensioner of seat belt and
related parts shall be changed. It's
forbidden to dismantle or replace any
airbag by yourself. This should be
done by the BYD authorized service
station.
2. If the SRS (―Supplementary
Restraint System‖) indicator reminds
you that the device has already went
wrong. Deliver the BYD authorized
service station for checking and
repairing as soon as possible. If the
warning of indicator is ignored, the
airbag may not expand as needed.
This can only be dealt with by one that
has received professional trainings. It
is forbidden to remove the
components of airbag and automatic
tensioner of seat belt from the car. If
certain fault occurs, the engine flames
out or the airbag expands, the
automatic tensioner of seat belt takes

effect, repair or remove the fault in the
BYD authorized service station.
Supplementary Safety Precautions
1. Don't attempt to dismantle the
airbag. The best protection can be
provided only if the airbag and seat
belt act simultaneously.
2. It's forbidden to fiddle with the
airbag and automatic tensioner of
seat belt or their wiring freely no
matter for what reasons. As it will lead
to unexpected operation and cause
very serious injuries.
