Replace the electronic smart key
battery in accordance with the
following steps
1.
Pull down the release switch and
take out the mechanical key.
2.
Open the cover of the electronic
smart key with a flat head
screwdriver or similar tool.

Remove the electronic smart key
battery which has run out of
power with a flat head
screwdriver or a similar tool.
Insert the tool into guide slot and
apply force in the direction as
shown in the above figure to
remove the battery.
NOTICE
Do not refit the battery cover to
avoid faults.
4. Put the new battery into the box
with the cathode (+) upward.
Closely the electronic smart key cover
tightly. After closing the battery cover,
insert the mechanical key into the
electronic smart key.
NOTICE
Please install a battery with its
anode terminal and cathode
terminal in correct position.
Never replace the battery with
wet hands. Water might cause
corrosion.
Do not touch or move any part
inside the smart key, otherwise,
it might affect the normal
operation.
Do not bend the electrode when
inserting the electronic smart
key battery, there should be no
dust or greasy dirt in the battery
box. And close the electronic
smart key cover tightly.
After replacing battery, check whether
the electronic smart key works
normally; if the key still does not work
well, contact the BYD authorized
service station.
