Deactivating the front
passenger air bag
Depending on the vehicle, you may have a function
to deactivate the passenger air bag. If you wish to
fit a child seat to the front passenger seat, it is es-
sential to deactivate the air bag: with the vehicle
stationary, press and turn lock  to OFF (refer to
Section 1 of your driver's handbook).
With the ignition on, the indicator light on the cen-
tral display comes on.
Immediately reposition the lock to ON as soon
as you stop using the child seat.

Activation of the front
passenger air bag
You should reactivate the air bag as soon as you
remove the child seat from the front passenger seat
to ensure the protection of the front passenger in
the event of an impact.
To reactivate the air bag: when the vehicle is sta-
tionary, press and turn lock  to the ON position.
With the ignition on, you must check that the warn-
ing light is off on the central display.
