    We recommend that you leave ibiza Rhapsody in Idle (with the keys locked), The Main Menu even when the player is not in use. In this mode, ibiza Rhapsody turns itself off periodically to conserve power, but still downloads content as needed.

    Once you become comfortable using the Touchpad to navigate through menus and select different items, try some of the following suggestions for more scrolling options.     Scrolling Right and Left Text-Entry ibiza Rhapsody features a text-entry ribbon that lets you input text without a keyboard. You can use this text- entry capability to search for music, give a playlist a name, find a podcast, and so on.

Use the Touchpad to move to the left and right through the text ribbon. Select the character you wish to input. Press the Touchpad. The character appears in the text field.

    Rhapsody- Owner's Manual The Basics Changing the Character Set If the string you want to input contains a mix of lower-case letters, capital letters, numbers, and other symbols, you will need characters from more than one character set. To change character sets, scroll along the text-entry ribbon to the symbol for the character set you need, and click the Touchpad.

    Note: (1) Do not activate the free trial for ibiza Rhapsody from a desktop PC. If you do, you will lose your downloaded songs when obtaining a new membership.     To install the updated software, set the device up for charging using the power adapter and cable. Select “Install the latest update. At the prompt, select “Yes, continue.” When prompted, connect ibiza Rhapsody to a power source. (This ensures that ibiza Rhapsody remains on during the update process. ) The...

    In the Display area, select tracks you want to import. Click Import CD. When the importing process completes, the newly saved tracks are added to My Library. To transfer these tracks to ibiza Rhapsody, drag and drop them from My Library to the ibiza Rhapsody icon (located in the Sources area).

    Connect ibiza Rhapsody to the PC. Drag and drop music from My Library, the Music Guide, or the Playlists/Mixer area onto the ibiza Rhapsody icon (located in the Sources list). You can add Channels from My Channels or the Channel Guide in exactly the same way.

    Rhapsody- Owner's Manual Importing Media Adding Media to the Rhapsody Library Rhapsody software can find music tracks and videos on your PC and add them to the Rhapsody library. On the PC, launch Rhapsody Software and sign in. Click File, Add Tracks to My Library. The “Add Tracks to My Library” dialog box is displayed.

    Internet. Note: When you stream music, it is not downloaded or saved on ibiza Rhapsody. If you wish to download the song (copy it to your player) while streaming it, simply press the Touchpad while the song is playing in the “Now playing” screen.

    Media information about a song (also called metadata), can include the name of the artist, name of the album, year the song was released, and so on. You can view this information for songs ibiza Rhapsody plays. From the Main Menu, select “Music.” Navigate to the song you want.

    Rhapsody- Owner's Manual Playing Media Viewing Album Information From the Main Menu, select “Music,” “Albums.” Select an album and press the Touchpad. Album information appears at the top of the screen. The information includes artist, genre, and release date.

    Rhapsody- Owner's Manual Listening to FM Radio Setting the Station Manually From the Main Menu, select “FM radio.” Use the Touchpad to scroll along the FM band. Scrolling to the right tunes the radio to a higher MHz value; scrolling to the left takes you lower.

Then press the Touchpad. The station number changes from gray to blue, indicating that a bookmark has been created.

    Rhapsody Channels Rhapsody Channels The Rhapsody Channels music service is provided via wireless Internet. The procedures in this section assume that ibiza Rhapsody is already connected. Accessing Channels From the Main Menu, select “Rhapsody channels.” The Rhapsody Channels screen is displayed.

    Click My Channels. A list of your selected channels appears in Rhapsody Software Display area. Drag the channels you want to add from the Display area, and drop them onto the ibiza Rhapsody icon.     Connecting to the Internet Enabling Wireless You need to have wireless set to “on” (enabled) for ibiza Rhapsody to connect to a wireless network. With wireless enabled, ibiza Rhapsody periodically scans for wireless networks within range. It can also connect to your familiar networks automatically to receive automatic updates.

    Rhapsody- Owner's Manual Connecting to the Internet Using the Connect Button From any screen, press the Connect button (located at the top of the player). If your wireless settings are set to off, a screen prompts you turn wireless on.

    Adding a Familiar Network When ibiza Rhapsody connects to a network, the network becomes a familiar network. When ibiza Rhapsody attempts to connect, it tries the familiar networks first. (If no familiar networks are available, the player asks you to choose from any other available networks.)

    Prioritizing Familiar Networks When ibiza Rhapsody attempts to connect, it begins with the first listed familiar network. If it cannot connect, it tries the next familiar network on the list, and so on. Thus, by changing the sequence in which your familiar networks listed, you change which networks ibiza Rhapsody tries connecting to first.

    Locking the MAC Address Internally, ibiza Rhapsody uses a network’s MAC address to uniquely identify that network. The network’s SSID, on the other hand, is probably the name you will think of when selecting the network in the future. We recommend that you resolve this difference the first time you access a particular network, locking the SSID to that network’s MAC address.

    Rhapsody- Owner's Manual Connecting to the Internet Using a WEP Key To connect to a WEP-secured network, you must obtain a WEP key for that network. Contact the network administrator or service provider to obtain a WEP key. When prompted, use the Touchpad and text-entry ribbon to input the WEP key. Then select Confirm. (Typically, WEP keys are between 10 and 58 characters long.)

    Rhapsody- Owner's Manual Connecting to the Internet Inputting a Passphrase To connect to a WPA-PSK-secured network, you must obtain a passphrase. Contact the network administrator or service provider to obtain a passphrase. The prompt for your passphrase is accompanied by a text-entry ribbon. Use the Touchpad and text-entry ribbon to input your passphrase. Then select “Confirm.”...

    From the Main Menu, select “Settings.” Select “Wireless settings” and press the Touchpad. Disabling Wireless Setting wireless to “Off” prevents ibiza Rhapsody from connecting to any wireless networks. With wireless disabled, ibiza Rhapsody does not scan for networks and cannot receive automatic updates.

    Note: Activate your free trial from ibiza Rhapsody, not from a PC. If you create a membership account, later on, your free trial must have originated from the device. Otherwise, Rhapsody cannot merge the accounts, and your downloaded songs will be lost.

    Downloading Music Wirelessly From the ibiza Rhapsody Main Menu, select “Rhapsody.” If you are not already connected to the Internet, ibiza Rhapsody attempts to connect automatically.     The downloading process is triggered when you access the URL associated with a podcast. Subscribing to a Podcast Wirelessly connect ibiza Rhapsody to the Internet.     Rhapsody- Owner's Manual Downloading Media Unsubscribing From a Podcast From the Main Menu, select “Podcasts.” The Podcasts screen appears. Select the podcast from which you want to unsubscribe. Then press and hold the Touchpad. The “Advanced options” box appears.

    In the Sources area, click My Library. The contents of your music library are listed in the Details area. In the Details area, select the songs you want to copy to ibiza Rhapsody. then drag them into the Sources area and drop them onto the ibiza Rhapsody icon.

    Drag and drop videos from My Library onto the ibiza Rhapsody icon (located in the Sources list). Note: You can create subfolders within the Video folder. These appear as categories when you navigate using ibiza Rhapsody. Folders within these sub-folders will not appear on ibiza Rhapsody, however.
