You can use an optional DC adapter to
power the TV from your vehicle's cigarette
lighter socket.
Caution: You must use a power
!
source that supplies 12–14 volts
DC and delivers at least 1 Amp. Its
center tip must be set to positive and its plug
must fit the TV's
DC 12–14V IN
an adapter that does not meet these
specifications could damage the TV or the
adapter.
1. Plug the adapter's barrel plug into the
TV's
DC 12–14V IN
2. Unplug you vehicle's cigarette lighter
and plug the large end of the DC
adapter cord into the cigarette-lighter
socket.
Notes:
• If the TV does not operate properly
when you use DC power, be sure the
cigarette-lighter socket is clean and that
the adapter's plug is pushed all the way
into the socket.
• Do not leave the adapter plugged into
the cigarette-lighter socket or connected
to the TV when you are not using the
TV .
• Always unplug the adapter from the
cigarette-lighter socket first.
• Internal batteries automatically
disconnect when you plug an adapter
into the

You can receive VHF and UHF broadcast
signals by using the built-in telescoping
antenna, which usually provides good
reception for the TV and FM radio.
Extend the antenna to its full length for
Channels 2–6 (VHF-L) or 14–69. (UHF).
Extend the antenna to a shorter length for
Channels 7–13 (VHF-H).

For improved reception, you can connect an
optional outdoor VHF/UHF antenna to the
TV's
jack. Before connecting the
EXT ANT
outdoor antenna, disconnect the
F-connector from the
EXT ANT
If the outdoor antenna wire is 300-ohm
double lead-in wire, connect the wire using
an external 300-ohm antenna adapter (not
supplied). Radio Shack offers a variety of
adapters.
If the outdoor antenna wire or CATV cable is
75-ohm coaxial cable, connect the cable to
the TV's
jack through an
EXT ANT
F-connector (available at your local
RadioShack store).
Warning: When you install an outdoor
antenna, use extreme caution. If the antenna
starts to fall, let it go! It could contact
overhead power lines. If the antenna touches
the power line, contact with the antenna,
