  • Page 3 CL1100 S REPARING TO USE THE ERIES ELEPHONE ANDSET Prepare to install the battery into the handset by first removing the rubber screw cover and the screw beneath. Then firmly press down on the top of the battery compartment cover and slide it towards the bottom of the handset until it is removed. Insert the battery connector into the connector inside the handset.

    HARGING THE ATTERY The rechargeable Nickel Metal Hydride battery must be fully char ged before using the phone for the first time. It is recommended that the battery pack be char ged overnight (or for at least 12 hours) without interruption before the first use. To charge the battery, place the handset, keypad down, in the base unit.

    Press the “SPEAKERPHONE” key to disconnect. The speakerphone LED will go out.
