servicing dealer.
Tighten and re-test.

Refill with clean fresh unleaded
gasoline with a pump octane of
87 or higher, mixed with 50:1
Shindaiwa Premium 2-cycle mixing
oil or an equivalent high quality
2-cycle mixing oil. Re-start.
Replace fuel filter;
Check for proper venting. Replace
vent as necessary. Re-start.
Move switch to
ON ("I"); re-start.
Consult with an authorized
servicing dealer.
Crank the engine with the
plug removed and the ignition off,
replace the plug, and re-start.
Clean and re-gap the plug to
0.024 inch (0.6 mm). Re-start.
Replace the plug with a
Champion CJ8 or equivalent
spark plug of the correct heat
range. For electromagnetic
compliance (EMC) use a
NGK BMR6A resistor plug.
Adjust the spark plug electrode
gap to 0.24 inch (0.6 mm). Re-start.

Be Aware of the Working Environment

Avoid long-term
operation in very hot or
very cold weather.

Never cut metal objects
Always keep proper footing and do not overreach.
Maintain your balance at all times during operation.

Avoid cutting large or
extremely woody branches.
Doing so can shorten
cutter life, and damage the
gearcase.
Inspect the cutting site thoroughly prior to
operation. Remove objects that could get
entangled by the cutter blade. Note the
locations of fence posts and other fixed
objects and avoid cutting them.
Make sure handgrips are free of foreign
substances such as lubricant and pitch.
Never operate this
unit if any safety
guards are missing or
damaged.
Do not allow cutters to contact
buildings or other hard objects
during operation. If a cutter should
bind fast in a cut, stop the engine
immediately. Remove the cause of
the bind before proceeding.
