Region and Language
Use these settings to configure the language in which the
menus and certain keyboard options are displayed.
Note: Some of the settings require you to restart your phone.
1. From the system screen, touch region + language.
2. Touch the Display language, Region format,
Short date (sample), Long date (sample), First day of
week, System locale, and Browser & search language
fields and select a setting for each.

Ease of Access

To activate or deactivate TTY/TDD mode for this device.
1. From the system screen, touch ease of access.
2. Under TTY/TDD mode, touch Off or Full.
3. To turn on Speech for phone accessibility, touch the
slider and drag it to the right.
Speech
These settings can be used to enable speech recognition
over the network, speech when the phone is locked, and
audio confirmation.
1. From the system screen, touch speech.
2. Touch Enable speech recognition over the network.
This setting is required for web search using voice.
When selected, all voice commands are sent to
Microsoft to provide and improve the service.
3. Touch Use Speech when the phone is locked, which only
affects accessing Speech with the Start key.
4. Touch the Play audio confirmations slider and drag it to
the right to turn it On or to the left to turn it Off.
5. When Play audio confirmations is On, touch the Read
aloud incoming text messages field and select an
option.
