    If your TV supports progressive scanning, you can con- nect another video component (satellite/cable tuner, LD player, etc.) to the DPS-10.5 and it will upconvert inter- laced video to progressive for improved picture quality. This is also useful when your TV doesn’t have enough video inputs to connect all of your components.

    Press the [Standby/On] button. The display light ups and the Standby indicator goes off. The very first time you turn on the DPS-10.5, the Initial Setup menu appears onscreen (see page 39). Press the [Standby/On] button again to enter Standby.

    Angle Resolution First Time Setup The very first time you turn on the DPS-10.5, the Initial Setup menu appears onscreen. Here you need to make a few settings to get the DPS-10.5 up and running. You can change these settings later (see page 64).

    The Auto power off function can be turned on or off as required (page 80). On your TV, select the input to which the DPS-10.5 is connected (pages 27, 28). Check the video cable and correct as necessary (pages 27, 28).
