TEM5608U MODEM USER'S GUIDE
Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the TEM5608U V.90 56K Data/Fax /Voice External USB
Modem. The TEM5608U is a high-speed modem enabling data communications
between a computer and a remote/fax computer or ISP located anywhere a
telephone can reach in the world.
The TEM5608U communicates at data rates up to 56000 bps (V.90) with
compatible modems connected to similarly equipped computers, International
Service Provider. All data pumps are performed in the Ali-6401 DSP Chip on your
USB modem, so it costs very low CPU time. The TEM5608U uses a Class 1 fax
software to exchange fax documents at rates of up to 14400 bps with any Group
3 fax machine or personal computer with a fax modem.
The TEM5608U also support voice function, message record/play, when
answering to other calling. (Fax, Voice functions are approved with Super Voice
Software)
The TEM5608U is fully compatible with USB HOT-Plug-and-Play (USB SPEC 1.0),
and designed for Microsoft Windows 95/98/2000/NT.
