Options
Multi-pattern (default)—evaluates lighting
conditions throughout the image to give an optimum
picture exposure. Ideal for general picture taking.
Center-weighted—evaluates the lighting
conditions of the subject centered in the viewfinder.
Ideal for backlit subjects.
Spot—similar to Center-weight, except the metering
is concentrated on a smaller area of the subject
centered in the viewfinder. If used with Selectable AF
zones, the exposure spot follows the focus zone. Ideal
when you need an exact exposure of a specific area in
the picture.
Multi-zone AF (default)—evaluates zones to give
an even picture focus. Ideal for general picture taking.
Center-zone AF—evaluates the small area
centered in the viewfinder. Ideal when precise focus
of a specific area in the picture is needed.
Selectable-zone AF—use
the focus brackets to any focus zones.
NOTE: For the best pictures, the camera is set to Multi-zone
when in Landscape mode.
Continuous AF (default)—camera continuously
adjusts to keep the picture in focus. There is no need
to press the Shutter button halfway down to focus.
This option uses the most battery power.
Single AF—minimizes camera noise. Camera is only
in focus when the Shutter button is pressed halfway
down. This option uses less battery power.
