GENERAL & SPECIFIC
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. KNOW YOUR TOOL. Read and understand the instruction manual and labels affixed to
the tool. Learn its application and limitations as well as its specific potential hazards.
2. Don't use power tools in damp or wet locations or expose them to rain. Keep work area
well lit and provide adequate surrounding work space.
3. USE RIGHT TOOL. Don't force the tool or the attachment to do a job for which it was
not designed.
4. MAINTAIN TOOL WITH CARE. Keep tool clean for best and safest performance. Follow
instructions for operation and changing accessories.
5. DISCONNECT TOOLS. Before servicing, when changing accessories or attachments.
6. AVOID ACCIDENTAL STARTING. Make sure the switch is in the ''OFF'' position.
7. USE RECOMMENDED ACCESSORIES. Consult the manual for recommended
accessories. Follow the instructions that accompany the accessories. The use of
improper accessories may cause hazards.
SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. DO NOT CONNECT THE BLACK NEGATIVE (-) CLAMP TO THE NEGATIVE (-)
BATTERY TERMINAL.
2. IMPROPER USE OF THIS UNIT MAY RESULT IN BODILY INJURY SUCH AS BURNS
OR BLINDNESS.
3. This unit contains a sealed, lead-acid battery that should be kept at full charge. Charge
battery when first received, immediately after each use, and once a month if not used.
4. Working near a lead-acid battery is dangerous. Batteries generate explosive gases
during normal operation. Do not face the battery during connection and stay away as
far as possible from the battery being chanrged.
5. Read and follow instruction manual and those from the vehicle's battery and
electrical system. Review all caution markings on these products and on the engine
before charging.
6. Have water and soap at hand in case the battery acid contacts skin, eyes or clothing.
Avoid touching eyes while working near battery. If battery acid contacts your skin, eyes
or clothing, wash immediately with soap and water. If acid enters the eye, immediately
flood with water for at least 10 minutes and then get medical attention as soon as
possible.
7. Do not smoke or allows sparks in the vicinity of the battery.
8. Be careful with metal tools contacting the vehicle battery. Contact between metal
and the positive battery post may cause a spark, or short-circuit the vehicle battery or
some other electrical component.
9. Remove metal personal items such as rings or bracelets when using the battery.
10. Do not attempt to charge a frozen battery.
11. Do not allow the booster cable clamps to touch each other or a peice of metal at the
same time.
12. Only charge lead-acid batteries, do not attempt to charge dry-cell batteries as they
might burst or cause injury.
