    Introduction Features The Watchdog Timer function allows your watchdog timer application to regularly “clear” the system at the set time interval. If the system hangs or fails to function, it will reset at the set time interval so that your system will continue to operate.

    Hardware Installation The system board supports the following memory interface. Single Channel (SC) Data will be accessed in chunks of 64 bits (8B) from the memory channels. Dual Channel (DC) Data will be accessed in chunks of 128 bits from the memory chan- nels.

    Hardware Installation VGA Port The VGA port is used for connecting a VGA monitor. Connect the monitor’s 15-pin D-shell cable connector to the VGA port. After you plug the monitor’s cable connector into the VGA port, gently tighten the cable screws to hold the connector in place.     Hardware Installation Floppy Disk Drive Connector The floppy disk drive connector supports a standard floppy disk drive. The 34-pin connector on the floppy cable can be placed into the header only if pin 1 of the connector is aligned with pin 1 of the header.

    Hardware Installation IDE Disk Drive Connectors The 90 shrouded PCI IDE header will interface two Enhanced IDE (Integrated Drive Electronics) disk drives. The 40-pin connector on the IDE cable can be placed into the header only if pin 1 of the connector is aligned with pin 1 of the header.

When this field is enabled, the Award BIOS will monitor the boot sector and partition table of the hard disk drive. If an attempt is made to write to the boot sector or partition table of the hard disk drive, the BIOS will halt the system and an error message will appear.
