  • Page 5: Before You Begin

    19.0 R tread- number and serial number before calling. The model number of the treadmill is IMTL59105.0. The serial number can be found on a decal attached to the tread- mill (see the front cover of this manual for the location).
  • Page 6: Assembly

    During shipping, a small amount of lubricant may be transferred to the top of the walking belt or the shipping carton. This is a normal condition and does not affect treadmill perfor- mance. If there is lubricant on top of the walking belt, simply wipe off the lubricant with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner.
  • Page 7 2. Attach a Wheel (80) and two Wheel Spacers (97) to the Upright Base (84) with a Wheel Bolt (81) and a Wheel Nut (32) as shown. Do not overtighten the Wheel Nut; the Wheel should turn freely. 3. Identify the Right Upright (14). Straighten the Upright Wire Harness (77), and feed it into the lower end of the Right Upright (14) and out of the hole shown in the inset drawing.
  • Page 8 5. While a second person holds the console assembly near the Handrail (20) as shown, attach the ground wire to the indicated hole in the Handrail with a Silver Ground Screw (94). 6. While a second person continues to hold the console as- sembly, look underneath it and locate the Console Wire Harness (78).
  • Page 9 (see page 13). 11. Make sure that all parts are properly tightened before you use the treadmill. If there are sheets of clear plastic on the treadmill decals, remove the plastic. To protect the floor or carpet, place a mat under the tread- mill.

    If heart rate readings do not appear until you begin perspiring, re-wet the electrode areas. • As you walk or run on the treadmill, position your- self near the center of the walking belt. For the console to display heart rate readings, the user must be within arm’s length of the console.

  • Page 12 Cardio Control Programs The console also offers two cardio control programs. Each cardio control program adjusts the speed and in- cline of the treadmill to keep your heart rate near a tar- get heart rate setting during your workouts. MyTracks™ StepCounter Program Walking is one of the most popular exercises world- wide.
  • Page 13 Next, stand on the foot rails of the treadmill. Find the clip attached to the key (see the drawing on page 12) and slide the clip onto the waistband of your clothes.
  • Page 14 When you are finished exercising, remove the key. Step onto the foot rails, press the Stop button, and adjust the incline of the treadmill to the lowest setting. The incline must be at the lowest setting when the treadmill is folded to the storage posi- tion or the treadmill will be damaged.
  • Page 15 If the speed and/or in- cline of the treadmill is about to change, the speed setting and/or the incline setting will flash in the display to alert you.
  • Page 16 HOW TO USE A CARDIO CONTROL PROGRAM Cardio control program 7 will automatically adjust the speed and incline of the treadmill to keep your heart rate within a preset range during your workout. Cardio control program 8 will keep your heart rate near a target heart rate setting that you select.
  • Page 17 7.5 mph and your heart rate is still too far below the target heart rate setting, the incline of the treadmill will also in- crease. If the speed or incline setting is too high or too low at any time during the program, you can adjust the setting with the Speed or Incline buttons.
  • Page 18 Note: To find an appropriate starting goal, walk on the treadmill with the manual mode selected (see page 13), and note the number of steps that you walk during your workout. Then, round that num- ber up to the nearest 500 steps.
  • Page 19 The lower part of the display will show the total number of hours that the treadmill has been oper- ated. In addition, an “E” for English miles or an “M” for metric kilometers will appear in the lower part of the dis- play.

    1. Hold the upper ends of the handrails. Place one foot against one of the wheels. 2. Tilt the treadmill back until it rolls freely on the front wheels. Carefully move the treadmill to the desired location. To re- duce the risk of injury, use extreme caution while mov- ing the treadmill.
  • Page 21 HOW TO LOWER THE TREADMILL FOR USE 1. Hold the upper end of the treadmill with your right hand. Pull the latch knob to the left and hold it. Pivot the treadmill down until the catch is past the latch pin.

    TROUBLESHOOTING Most treadmill problems can be solved by following the steps below. Find the symptom that applies, and follow the steps listed. If further assistance is needed, please call the toll-free telephone number on the front cover of this manual.
  • Page 23 1/2 of a turn. Be careful not to overtighten the walking belt. Then, plug in the power cord, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is centered. b. If the walking belt slips when walked on, first re- move the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD.
