Operation
Redial Function
Use this function if a number that you have dialed is engaged and you
are unable to get through. The last number dialed will be saved in the
telephone automatically. To use the redial function:
1. Lift the handset or press
2. Press REDIAL button. The last saved redial number will
automatically be dialed.
Pause
This function is often required for phone banking or when using a PBX
system.You can insert a 3.6 second pause while dialing or storing a
number into MEM. Press REDIAL button at the desired point in number
to insert a pause.
Flash
The FLASH button can be used to obtain a new dial tone after ending a
call. The FLASH button is also a useful feature for special telephone
services such as Call Waiting and Three-Way Calling.
Note: These special telephone services must be subscribed to
separately from your local phone company.
Call Timer
Immediately after dialing a telephone number a call timer will be shown
on the display. The timer is a simple way to help you keep track of how
long the call lasts.
Ringer Volume Control
The ringer sound level can be adjusted by sliding the RINGER switch.
Select high (HI), medium (MID), or soft (LO) sound level. If you do not
want to be disturbed, slide the RINGER switch to the OFF position.
The bright Red LED on the base will flash with all incoming calls.

Speaker Volume Control
You can adjust the speaker volume level that suits you by sliding the
VOLUME switch.
Receiver Volume Control
The Loud LED is used to reflect the receiver volume setting. Press
button, the Loud LED will turn on, then increase the receiver volume by
rotating the
knob to select the listening level (level 1 to level 9). The
Loud LED will be off if the receiver volume is set to the minimum level.
Tone Receiving Adjustment
You can also use the TONE HI/LO slide switch to increase the receiver
volume of high frequency sounds according to your own hearing
requirement. This will help words to be clearer and easier to understand.
Note: The tone adjustment function will not be effective if the receiver
volume has been set to the minimum level.
Message Waiting Indicator
When you are unable to answer a call, the incoming call will be
forwarded to a mail box where the caller can leave a message.
The
symbol will light, and the display will indicate "MESSAGE
WAITING" to alert you to listen to the stored message. The
will turn off once the message is played. Or, you can press the DELETE
button once the display shows "DELETE ?". Press and hold the
DELETE button to turn off the new call LED and the "MESSAGE
WAITING" message.
Note: Subscription is required to use the Message Waiting services.
