MONO OPERATION
As stated before, regular or balanced inputs can be used in stereo or mono. Connect a single
interconnect, either regular or balanced, to the left channel input of each amplifier. See the "Mono"
section above for complete details.

PROTECTION CIRCUIT

The Classé CA-200 is equipped with rail fuses to protect the output drivers (fig.2, page 10)
and mosfet fuses to protect the mosfets, which are used as pre-drivers for the output stage of the
amplifier. In the event that a short circuit or other problems would occur at the output of the
amplifier, either or both of these fuses may blow in an attempt to protect the amplifier. In addition to
the fuses, the unit has a circuit for the detection of unusual distortion characteristics and/or DC
content in the incoming audio signal. There is also an AC line fuse protecting the unit. It is located at
the back of the unit immediately to the right side of the AC receptacle (see fig.1, page 9).
If the protection circuit of the unit is triggered or any of the fuses has blown, the FRONT
PANEL POWER LED will go to BLINKING GREEN.
To return the unit to proper operation, TURN THE UNIT OFF. Make sure that the situation
that has triggered the protection circuit has been corrected. Failing to correct the situation prior to
re-starting the unit can result in damaging vital components in the unit.
Replace mosfet or rail fuses that are damaged with exactly the same type and value
(Rail: GDB6, 6 amp fast-blow. Mosfet: 2AG 3/4 2 PT, 3/4 amp fast-blow). Spare fuses for the
mosfet and the output section are supplied with the unit and included in the instruction booklet
package. After a careful inspection of all connections and components in the system, re-start
the unit.
If unit still goes into protection mode, contact your local dealer or Customer
Service at the Classé Audio factory---(514) 636 63 85.
