The ThinkPad 355 family has the same
physical design as the ThinkPad 360, 750, and
755.
EasyPlaying (PC Card Director ) is
preinstalled and on the utility diskette for DOS,
Windows and OS/2; it provides status and info
on PCMCIA cards installed. In Windows and
OS/2, it can register an appl for PCMCIA cards
and execute them automatically. Auto
Configurator and Memory Device Driver
enables supported PCMCIA cards by sensing
them automatically (so do not need to install
their device drivers). This utility ships with
ThinkPads 355, 360, 510Cs, and 755 family.
Easy-Setup is entered by holding F1 when
turning on. Easy-Setup, BIOS, and diagnostics
are located in Flash memory.
ThinkPad EasyServ : customer calls 1-800-772-2227, courier service picks up ThinkPad at
any location, IBM repairs and mails back within 2 business days (no shipping charges, most
shipping is overnight). STN = Super twisted nematic;
