6. Tap Text-to-speech options and select the preferred
TTS engine to set voice output settings. For more
information, refer to "Speech" on page 158.
7. Tap Enhance web accessibility and tap Allow to allow
applications to install scripts from Google that make
their Web content more accessible.
Hearing
To set hearing options:
1. From the
(Settings) screen, tap Accessibility.
2. Tap Sound Balance to control the signal sent to the left
and right when using earphones.
3. Tap the check box next to Mono audio to enable stereo
audio to be compressed into a single mono audio
stream for use with a single earphone.
4. Tap the check box next to Turn off all sounds to mute
every sound made by the device.
Mobility
To set mobility options:
1. From the
(Settings) screen, tap Accessibility.
2. Tap Assistant menu to turn on functions to improve
device accessibility for users with reduced dexterity.
3. Tap Press and hold delay, and then tap a delay time.
Recognition
To set recognition options:
1. From the
(Settings) screen, tap Accessibility.
2. Tap Interaction control to enable motions, screen
timeout, auto-rotate and hard key functions, block
areas of the screen from tap interaction, and display
notifications on the Notification Panel and Status Bar.

About Device

View information about your device, including status, legal
information, hardware and software versions, and
battery use.
1. From the
(Settings) screen, tap About device.
