Charge 12-Volt Battery Prior to First Use, Continued
ONLY AN ADULT CAN CHARGE AND RECHARGE THE BATTERY. See page 19 for battery
maintenance.
NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the battery from the vehicle for charging. However,
if the adapter cord will not safely reach a 120-volt wall outlet, the battery can be
removed for charging. See page 20 for battery replacement.
1. Hold upper edge of the hood and
disengage the hood latches. Lift up
until the hood comes completely off the
body. Carefully set aside.
2. Grasp the engine cover using the slots
on each side of the "engine" and gently
pull up to expose the battery.
3. Unplug the battery connectors.
4. Plug the charger connector into the
battery. Use ONLY the Kid Trax Toys 12-
volt charger included with the Corvette
(Input: AC120V–, 0.5A, 60Hz Output:
DC14.2V, 1.5A).
5. Plug the charger into a standard
120-volt wall outlet. Light on charger
will glow red. NOTE: The charger may
feel warm during charging. This is
normal and not a cause for concern.
6. After charging is complete (at least 16
hours, but not more than 30) unplug
the charger from the wall outlet.
7. Unplug the charger from the 12-volt
battery.
8. Re-connect the battery connectors.
Make sure the connection is tight.
9. Replace the engine cover.
To replace the hood, fit the tabs into the
slot at the front of the body and lower
the hood. Press down on the upper part
of the hood to engage the latches.
