Changing the sound quality

You can change the sound quality. This allows you to provide the best sound quality for the
particular purpose.
• When the unit is not in the stop state, press

[STOP g/RETURN].
Press [MENU] .
Press u, i to select "MODE"
and press [q OK] to enter.
Depending on the setting, the sound quality and remaining recording time ( ➜ page 51) will differ.
High quality recording
Recording format
(44.1 kHz)
When the sound quality is set to "SLP", the recording becomes monaural.

To exit the setting screen, press
[STOP g/RETURN].
The selected sound quality is
displayed.
PCM XP
(MP3 192 kbps)
Press +, – to select "PCM", "XP",
"LP", or "SLP" and press [q OK]
to enter.
(The factory setting is "XP".)
