ACTIVATE EMERGENCY RESPONSE SERVICE
You are not fully protected until you activate Emergency Response Services
(if your Emergency Response account was created at the retailer where you purchased your LaserShield you can skip this step)
• Go to www.lasershield.net
• Click on "Activate" LaserShield
• Prepare to enter the 8 character Device
ID Code located on bottom of MAU
• Follow instructions on the web page
NON-INTERNET USERS
• Fax or mail Activation Forms (included
in box) to LaserShield
• Wait for LaserShield
to request you to test the system and confirm activation
NOTE: You can activate your Emergency Response Services instantly by using the Internet. If you activate
Emergency Response Services by mail or fax, you may use your LaserShield System as a local alarm, without the
benefits of monitoring, to deter intruders while you are waiting for your Emergency Response Services to be activated.

MASTER ALARM UNIT (MAU)
PLUG & POWER
• Plug one of the AC power adapters into a
wall outlet and insert the connector into
the power port on the rear of the MAU
• Connect one end of the phone cord to
a live telephone jack. Connect the other end
to the phone jack labeled TO WALL on the rear of the MAU.
(DSL phone lines require the insertion of a DSL filter between the
MAU and the wall phone jack)
• Remove battery tab on bottom of MAU to enable battery backup
• Press and hold ON/OFF button until the unit announces "LaserShield On"
NOTE: Do not place other electronic devices or objects on top of the MAU.

WIRELESS DETECTION UNIT (WDU)
PLACE, PLUG & POWER
• Place Wireless Detection Unit (WDU) to cover desired area for protection
• Plug the remaining AC power adapter into a wall outlet and insert the
connector into the power port on the rear of the WDU
• Remove battery tab on bottom of WDU to enable battery backup
• Press on/off button on rear of unit until red power LED on the front panel
illuminates
NOTE: Optimum height is 3' to 5' above floor. Positioning and aiming unit from a corner delivers
best protection. Position so there are no obstructions to unitʼs view. See LaserShield
Manual for using your system with pets.
