Connecting other equipment

Connecting the unit to a cable box or satellite receiver etc.
The unit makes audio output when you make either digital audio (OPTICAL) output connections or analogue audio output connections.
Make connections according to your equipment and preference.
• Use cables that belong to the same type as the video cable
you used for connecting the unit to your TV.
• See pages 6 and 7 for connecting the unit to the TV.

Make connections instructed in "To enjoy standard-quality pictures" (á page 7) when you connect the unit to a TV or DVD recorder.
The VCR makes no video output when you choose connections instructed in "To enjoy high-quality pictures" (á page 6).
