Installation
File Plug In Activation :
The activation of a File Plug In uses the same mechanisms as buffer plugins :
In registry : under one key xx_xxx_FILE : key values must be named from 0 to x , all num-
bers consecutives (no hole) (0,1,2,...).
The Suchy MIPS UNICODE conversion filter is predefined as a "IF_PRE_FILE " with the
value "100" (so is activated after installation).
An example of File Plug In is installed in folder <PRISMAspool installation path>\Plu-
gins\FilePlugins; this (self explanatory) example consists of a script file "Example.bat".
Take care that the Ospinterface service must be restarted each time the registry is modified

4.3.5 UNICODE Conversion Module

The UNICODE conversion module of PRISMAspool allows the printing of UNICODE texts
on PCL printers that are not UNICODE-enabled. On PRISMAspool, the Monotype font An-
dale can be found, containing 65.000 fonts from any language possible. The UNICODE
conversion module is delivered as a "filter" able to process a complete PCL file and is able
to transform data coded accordingly to UNICODE into PCL data with soft fonts that is print-
able by any printer that are not able to print UNICODE data.
The figure above demonstrates the conversion of UNICODE-encoded (multibyte) PCL print
data into not UNICODE-encoded (one byte) PCL print data. After the conversion, the print
data can be printed out on not UNICODE-enabled PCL printers and, nevertheless, still con-
tain the required print image.
This module is preconfigured as a File Plug In of type "IF-PRE-FILE" with value "100".
Don't forget that the Ospinterface service must be restarted each time the registry is mod-
ified
