1. An ON/OFF power switch is recessed on the left side. The 24 Vdc
power source is connected via a spring-loaded interlocking connector.
The RS-232 serial interface cable attaches to a female 25-pin connector
on the rear of the printer. The control panel has three operator keys and
three lighted indicators. The lights indicate when power is applied, paper
is present, and if the paper is released for removal. The buttons allow
for forward feeding, reverse feeding, and the release of the paper
2. The print surface has an open throat design allowing paper to be
inserted from three directions.
3. The TM-295 uses a ribbon ink cartridge. Slide the cover to the left and
swing it towards you for access.
4. SELF TEST
a)
Apply power to the printer and press the RELEASE key.

Insert a piece of paper

Turn off the printer
d)
Hold down the RELEASE key and turn the power back on.
e)
Remove your finger from the RELEASE key. The printer will
provide its current serial interface configuration settings. Press
RELEASE to allow for paper removal, and observe the print out.
f)
Inserting a new piece of paper allows the printer to produce a test
pattern and print "completed" when finished. (More than one piece
of paper will be required.)
5. Programming switches are located on the bottom of the printer. These
switches allow the printer serial interface selections to be configured.
(The current settings were printed during the self-test.) Defaults are
shown in bold in the following table.
