Features
High-quality Images
Wide Dynamic Range With
DynaView Technology
DynaView technology in the SNC-DF85
and SNC-DF50, enhance the cameras'
dynamic range by 128 times. The
cameras capture the same image
twice – combining the dark areas
from a normal shutter speed with the
bright areas at high shutter speed into
one image. Advanced white balance
circuits reproduce high-contrast with
proper colour.

SuperExwave Technology
The SNC-DF80 incorporates an
advanced 1/3-type CCD with
SuperExwave technology that
achieves extremely high sensitivity
levels. The camera provides a minimum
illumination of 0.6 lx in color and 0.06
lx in B/W at F1.3, allowing it to capture
clear and detailed images even under
low light conditions.
The high-quality CCD imager, in
combination with the camera's
state-of-the-art DSP technology,
produces a high horizontal resolution
of 540 TV lines via the analogue
composite video output, which
provides amazingly clear and
detailed images.

Day/Night Function
The SNC-DF85 and SNC-DF80 cameras
can switch from day mode (color)
to night mode (B/W) by replacing its
infrared-cut filter with a clear filter.
Users can toggle between the
two manually, on a predefined
schedule using an external sensor, or
automatically in response to available
light. In night mode, sensitivity to near-IR
illuminators, allow operation in even
in zero conditions.
Dynamic Frame Integration
Frame Integration (DFI) technology
detects movement within the image
and reproduces those areas with
minimal blurring, while displaying areas
with little or no movement naturally.
DFI provides clear images – even in
low light conditions.

JPEG Picture Quality Settings With
Constant Bitrate Algorithm
Users can preset the JPEG picture
quality from a choice of ten levels.
Data bitrate can be limited while still
maintaining high-quality images - ideal
for calculating storage capacity and
bandwidth during installation.
Ceiling Flush Mount (SNC-DF50/YT-ICB45 Ceiling Mount Bracket)
Flexible and Easy Installation
Wall- or Ceiling-mountable/Easy
Viewing-angle Adjustment
This range can be easily wall- or ceiling
mounted.** An analogue composite
output (RCA jack), enables the camera
image to be monitored locally while the
viewing angle is adjusted, making
focus and viewing-angle adjustment
both accurate and easy.
** Supplied bracket is required when the SNC-DF85
and SNC-DF80 are wall- or ceiling-mounted.
Powerful 3.6x Zoom, Vari-focal Lens
These cameras come equipped with
a 3.6x zoom, vari-focal lens that covers
an extremely wide range of viewing
angles from 100.8° (wide-angle) to 27.7°
(telephoto).
Ball-Joint Lens Mount Technology
Sony patented Ball-Joint Lens Mount
mechanism enables the lens to be
rotated freely in any direction. Unlike
conventional cameras, it takes only one
action to adjust the pan and tilt angles,
ideal for viewing angle adjustment
during installation.
Ruggedized Design
The vandal-resistant SNC-DF85 and
SNC-DF80 comply with the IP66
standard, and offer additional water
resistance by using a special inner
conduit for the camera cables. The
optional YT-HU75 Heater Unit allows
the camera to be used in severe
temperatures as low as -40 °C (-40 °F).
