Overview How It Works DMR300 captures up to three separate input streams from your videoconferencing system. These include two video streams, usually associated with near and far-end camera video and a third high-resolution stream from the videoconferencing system or any laptop, PC, or document camera, etc.

OUTPUTS INPUT To connect to the DMR300, insert the following cables to the unit: AC Power Cable – insert the IEC cable to the AC power input plug. Make sure the on/off switch is in the off position before plugging in the power cable.
Remote Contact Closure – this connection uses a standard 3.5 mini mono connector. This connector allows a remote switch (contact closure) to control the start / stop function of the DMR300. This is the same as pushing the blue button on the front of the unit.
Fixed (Static) IP Address 1. Connect the Ethernet cable and power up the DMR300. 2. On your Internet browser, enter the IP address of the DMR300. 3. Login to the DMR300 using the procedure shown below in the “Logging In”...
DMR300 you will not need administrator rights. The Guest User can start and stop the DMR300, select a template to record and playback with and change the video and audio settings for recording. No password is required for the standard ‘Guest User’ login as a default. However, the administrator has the ability to modify this feature to require a password for viewers to login.
Administrator Setup The Administrator maintains all rights to the DMR300. 1. From the main menu of the DMR300, go to ‘Config IP’ under the ‘Manage’ section. 2. Use the login id “admin”. The default password is “MediaPOINTE”. Note that the login id and the password are case sensitive.

Security Settings This section describes how to set the security settings for the DMR300. This section of the menu requires admin rights and allows the administrator to enable logins for “Guest Users’ and allows changes to the admin password. Figure 3 - Security Settings From the Security menu, an administrator can enable user security, set the user password as well as change the administrator’s password.
Enter a user password in the “user password” field and confirm it in the “confirm user password” field. The next time the DMR300 is accessed, anyone logging in will be presented with a login box asking for the User ID (“User”) and a password.

Shutdown Select this button to remotely power-down (shut off) the DMR300. Any access to the unit will be lost as the unit is powered down. In order to power up the unit, the user must physically turn on the switch on the rear of the unit as well as the small power switch on the front of the unit.

Recordings Selecting the Recordings Menu from the main screen takes you to the following menu. From this screen you can start and stop a recording session, play or download previously archived material or delete selected recordings or all recordings on the hard drive. This screen also shows a list of all current recordings and information about them.
Selecting the Playback on DMR300 button requires an external monitor attached to the DMR300. Press the Playback on the DMR300 button to view the selected recording on the monitor and press the Stop playback on DMR300 button to stop viewing the recorded material.
Refresh / Delete / Delete all The three buttons on the bottom of the menu perform several functions. The Refresh button will refresh the current screen and ensure the current list of recordings is up to date and all status buttons show the correct unit status. The Delete button will delete the currently selected file.
Recording Information and Playback Window This area of the Recordings Menu screen show information on each recording currently residing on the hard drive. By selecting a recording from the list, information about that recording is displayed in the information area above the preview window. This information includes: the name of the selected recording, the directory path of each stream recorded and the duration of the recordings.

We recommend you experiment with each template to see the layout of each and how it is recorded for playback. Once you become familiar with the different layouts, you can easily decide which one will work best for each of your different archiving and playback requirements.
Settings The Settings Menu enables you to: • set the DMR300 for automatic start and stop of recording during a videoconferencing call when used with a Tandberg Videoconferencing system • enable simultaneous streaming while archival recording • set the input connection settings •...
Recording Mode The Recording Mode pull-down menu has two options: Standard and Tandberg. In Standard mode, all commands for starting and stopping the DMR300 are “manual” referring to starting and stopping the unit via the BLUE button on the front of the unit or by any of the other methods described in this user guide that require user intervention to occur.
Video1 Video Connection The Video1 Video Connection pull-down menu selects which input is used on the DMR300 for the Video1 connection. There are two choices, S-Video or Composite video as there are two connectors on the rear of the unit. Select which input your video source is connected to and press Save Settings.
Set Recording Gain The Set Recording Gain button and bar control allows you to view the current audio gain setting and change that setting if you desire. The red bar shows the current gain setting and the blue bar is used to set a new gain setting. To change the audio gain for a new recording session, click on the blue bar where you would like to set the audio gain.
