    OPERATING YOUR VEHICLE ENGINE BREAK-IN RECOMMENDATIONS • A long break-in period is not required for the engine and drivetrain (transmission and axle) in your vehicle. • Drive moderately during the first 300 miles (500 km). After the initial 60 miles (100 km), speeds up to 50 or 55 mph (80 or 90 km/h) are desirable.

    OPERATING YOUR VEHICLE Rain Sensing Wipers • This feature senses moisture on the vehicles windshield and automatically activates the wipers for the driver when the switch is in the intermittent position. Rotate the end of the lever to one of four settings to activate this feature and adjust sensitivity.

    OPERATING YOUR VEHICLE • With the Speed Control on, push and release the SET+ or SET- button to set a desired speed. • Once a speed has been set a message CRUISE CONTROL SET TO MPH/KM will appear indicating what speed was set. An indicator CRUISE will also appear and stay on in the instrument cluster when the speed is set.
  • Page 32 OPERATING YOUR VEHICLE Distance Setting (ACC Only) • The specified following distance for ACC can be set by varying the distance setting between four bars (longest), three bars (long), two bars (medium) and one bar (short). Using this distance setting and the vehicle speed, ACC calculates and sets the distance to the vehicle ahead.
