Exposure Indicator
The figures at right show how to read
the exposure indicator. The icons
show the difference between the
value given by the combination of
shutter speed and aperture setting
and the exposure value measured by
the camera.

Check that the focus indicator " " is lit and take the
picture.
• Lenses other than a Nikkor lens with a built-in CPU can only be used in
this mode. However, the camera's exposure meter cannot be used and
the aperture cannot be set using the aperture button and command dial.

Correctly exposed or over- or under-
exposed by less than 0.5 EV steps
Under-exposed by 0.5 EV steps or
more but less than 1.5 EV.
Over-exposed by 1.5 EV or more
